Quite a few of you folks post threads about vehicles you've stumbled upon, rotting in a field or even the forest. Almost reads like a Grimm's Fairy Tale. But have any of these been saved and made road worthy? Yes? Then post 'em up!

My avatar was a field car, getting close to running and driving.

Does behind a fence, on the edge of a field count?

How about in a junk yard?

I don't have a picture of the car in the stone quarry, but I have a picture of it shortly after I got it home.

My 32 was in the woods. Unfortunately, I wasn't the one who found it, but I am the one that brought it back to life. Build thread in the link below.

  19. Fou american1.jpg americanatcharlies.jpg americansmoke.jpg nd this 63 American in the brush on an acreage. Does that make it a brush car? Tuned it up, put a small NOS kit on it and went racing at the '03 HAMB drags. Fat Ass Whitewalls has it now.

  20. Thanks Fred.
I can't take the credit for the first build up, but once I got it off the builder, I stripped it, rebuilt and painted it.
I didn't do the flames, but I designed and helped all the way with them.
It took me five months to completely transform it. I'd allowed myself six, so I was happy enough, but I'm still making changes.

  21. My brother [Janglehead] found this anglia in Lockjaw's field in southern Oregon and built a strip car with it.

Took about 11 years to get it to this Valla 2014. 158.jpg

Before and After. It took both cars (61 and 62) to make one.

surprised that no one has clarified what a "Field Car" is - in American Graffiti, when Falfa & Milner catch up to each other for the first time - Milner: "A Field Car runs through the fields, dropping cow shit all over the place to make lettuce grow"
