↑I agree with above, and not for nothing, if this COVID 19 thing keeps going, as much as I hate to say it, you might find the real deal for short money.

    Sad times indeed.

Probably true. I have been keeping eye out for finished cars, half finished cars, sitting in a pile of parts....cars. Keeping all my options open at this point in time. I still have the 47 Sedan to put along in.

Maybe in your area Gman, but the cars I’ve been seeing on FB Marketplace are just as high or even higher than they were last year. No use looking at Craigslist anymore, when they started charging for auto ads they killed it and folks moved to Marketplace.

Nothing wrong with fiberglass, if that is the way to get the body style you want. Lets face it, even though hot rod prices have come down a bit, a real, decent, 32 5 window body is still going to be double what a new glass one is. I have seen some running glass cars in the 22-25k range, which is way less than the sum of the parts. I would say build what body style YOU really want because when your girls become teenagers (mine are 15 and 18) they are always off doing something else, sports, friends, FFA, etc.etc.etc I think I have only needed more than two seats in an old car once in the last year !

Not being biased however local business C&W make one of the best [Full composite] bodies out there by comparison and far superior to what was then the benchmark, DEUCE CUSTOMS. Here's their FB page, lots of information.

  9. I love the black. The interior choices are not pretty. I think this car has great potential. If the build quality is there then this is really a good deal. All the non-HAMB stuff could be easily removed.

The 32coupe on redo32's post is incedible for the money. You couldn't buy a bare plastic body for that price.

There are a lot of scammers on Craigslist and this just seems to be too good to be true. I wouldn't let any money change hands till I was standing next to the car. Usually the cars trucks and motorhomes they list are extremely nice examples and the price is way below what it should be worth. When you see an ad like that, and no phone number............beware.;)

A steel 3 window Brookville body (only) is about $25K and has a waiting list.
A Fiberglass BeBop 3 window body (only) is about $7K
Steel fenders can be put on fiberglass bodies.

  13. I agree. I wondered about it too.

Unfortunately there won't any StreetRod Nationals in Louisville this year. Due to COVID-19 the state is building a 2000 bed hospital in the Fairgrounds vendors area. Next year might be a better bet.

August is still a good ways off, and NSRA hasn't officially announced any cancellation on their website. Hopefully they won't need to have the hospital for that long. Time will tell..........

I admire your optimism. Can't imagine eveything being back to normal in just over in 3 1/2 months. Trust me the 2020 NSRA Nats in Louisville will not take place. Normalcy will not return until a Covid-19 Vaccine is found.

My thoughts exactly, and if it isn't a scam or bogus add then why would it still be there after 12 days?
You'd think Kindig or one of his crew would jump on it at that price being in the area!o_O

Hemiman, checked cars-on line and couldn't get over the vast amount (hundreds) of 32 Fords for sale. Its mind boggling.

The easiest way to decide that you don't want a rumble seat is to ride in one. When it's a hot sunny day you get sunburned and sweaty. When it's below 65 degrees you freeze your butt off because of the wind and forget it if it starts to rain. Been there, done that and never again will I ride in a rumble seat.

    I totally agree !!!!

    Posted this on another thread:

CAR SHOWS; There probably will be NO car shows this summer. I coordinate 2 local shows (July & Aug.) and we have canceled both. Car shows take MONTHS of pre-show preparation, planning, meetings, coordination and legwork...none of which can be done now. How can you do those months of planning when you don't even know if your show venue will be available ? You can't.

New York has been hit really hard by the virus. So far Ky hasn't been affected nearly as badly.
Best of luck to you and your family during this crisis! Stay safe!:)

There are endless glass 32 Fords on here, ebay and craigslist that people have lost interest in. Don't go spend an arm and leg to build a glass car.
