There is no limit of nerf bar designs, those are cool. If I used one,I like simple is best.
On my own "A",its a bobtail so hard too get anything looking right.
I do have a rack, that can be bolted on or removed with big wingnuts,as needed or even just folded up,as in pic.. It could be called a rear bumper or a handy folding rack. I have used it for my Wife's wheel chair, also for big cooler or box of as needed junk going to BBQ.

You might get more examples if you did a search for nerf bars.

So did you have to redo the rear of your chassis to accomplish that ?

Mine is made from a driveshaft safety hoop kit I bought at a swap meet. Same material used as from my Speedway nerf bar kit I used for the front but the hoops are a bit larger in diameter. IMG_1063.JPG

Well, I bobbed the frame, only because I wanted the ride height lower. Of course the tank is inside now too.

used a pair of upside down model A frame horns welded to the rear of the frame...
buddy got me a stainless adjustment tube from an eye doctor's office welded nuts inside the end caps...
    bolted it on...

I like the spreader bar look. Mounting brackets attach directly to the Model A frame at the rear corners. Simple to make and very attractive.

If it was me I don't think I'd put a bumper on it but if I did it would be one like on @scrap metal 48

for my 33 pickup, I'm planning on a single piece of 1 3/4" roll cage tubing with rounded hemisphere ends welded on. The rounded ends being the only parts that stick past the sides of the bed of the truck. I like simple :)

Also planning that for the front as well, except the rounded ends will be threaded on, which will sandwich the bumper tube in-between the frame rails.

I posted a request over on the Photoshop thread, and three of the artists over there came through with these variations. First is a narrowed Deuce bumper (my favorite and my suggestion), a narrowed early Camaro bumper, and, lastly, a pair of split Model A bumpers. tapatalk_1577465728856.jpeg tapatalk_1577465747099.jpeg tapatalk_1577465738853.jpeg

^^^^ yea, but at least he is throwing ideas out there, and an adaptation of them could be workable.
I actually like the second one, except that it looks too much like a Mk 1 Cortina consul that was my first car.........
And the third one would look better if the bumpers were further apart, more over the wheels, looking from the front.
