Discussion in 'The Hokey Ass Message Board' started by Mr Diablo, Nov 22, 2008.

  1. Hi all...just made a pair of Fender Skirts for my Pick Up...
What are your thoughts on them....
My Pick Up has a 2 1/2 inch Chop, full Air Bag set up, step rear end with a 4 link, grafted front clip and a 351 Clevo and runs on straight Propane Gas (LPG) with a full Kustom trim..

I'm normally not a fan of skirts on pickups but with all the other work you've done, the color, the visor, it looks just right..... Be proud

I just love 51-52 F-1 trucks, with or without fender skirts, hopefully my next project.

Im CLEARLY a fan of lowered F1s in Melbourne.
I've seen this truck in person.....its nice!
I've never seen an F1 that looked better with skirts, but thats just what I think.

Purely from a constructive view point, and as a a massive fan of these trucks when someone's done the hard work to get em sitting that low.....if you think something is just a bee's dick off in the rear that needs a slight touch of sumthin.....run a stringline down the horizontal swagelines near the top of the FRONT and REAR fenders....if they're NOT level and 100% horizontal, you've lost the most harmoniously eyepleasing lines on these old girls. ...and all it would take is to dremel out the mounting holes on the mounting flanges of the guards (about 12 seconds per hole if they're fibreglass).

    ...Im just saying,....thats all.....

What's that old saying??? "Dare to be different." You came, you dared, you hit the nail right on the head!!

  20. Thanks lowkat for posting the picks...The head lining is all done in white metalic and as Sakte Fink says, Dare to be Different, I am toying with the idea to add some scallops, 70% of me says no..what do you think guys....

  21. I never would have thought that would look good, but it does. I think the scallops are a good idea. A little late, but white interior may have worked well.

  23. That is great! I wanted to do, and still will thanks to your post, put skirts on my f-1. I think it will go great with the scallops I've got going.

  24. Not to my taste, but I have to admit they look good on your truck. Nice truck!
