What performance mods/combo's worked best for you? Any Tunning tips? Best timing? Carb your running? Lift of cam/ lobe seperation? ect. What kind of milage are you getting w/ your set-up? I'm building a daily driver/shop truck/ parts hualer. But would like it to atleast be able to run down a honda... I also have a 750 double pumper on the shelf. To Big? I know I can lean it out some, but do ya think I could lean it out enough? Anyway, any input would be appreciated...
Should we just guess on engine size, truck weight, transmission, rear end ratio, size of your budget etc ? Not trying to be a wise ass but give us a little to work with here
Factory tri-power, Unilite,headers, CJ rods, mild cam. 51 F-1, wife used it as a dailey for 4 years. 3400lbs, C-6, 3.00 rear. Mileage totally depends how you drive. I could milk 20mpg. But usually much less, love the sound of them carbs comin in. Low 13s in the 1/4..........OLDBEET PS....FEDER and FEDSLED really know how to build them!!!!!
Thats ok....You go!.....My ass isn't So smart. I do most of my thinking w/ my d$ck 390, 61' f-1oo unibody, C-6, 4.11, Minimum budget cause this isn't my project, just my driver. Use it to drive 3 miles to work, & round up parts for other projects.... Thanks again
