  2. In 1965 I was looking for a '55 for a college driver, but I found a '57 BelAir post for $200. Stuck in a 327, three speed and got it painted in time for fall classes

Over the next few years kept working on it and driving it. I miss that car.

I would pick a 56 bel air tudor. But finding any of the three around here would be hard.

My uncle had a 57.. my dad had a 57.. But I'm gunna go with either a 55 for hot Rodding or a 56 for a mild custom.

    Partial to the '55's.

Here's mine back in Summer of '68 when I was home on leave.
It had a 348 tri power.

I love all three but my first car was a 56 so I will say 56 first. Really like 55 Nomads with the one year only radiused wheel wells. Been driving a 57 a little lately and really like the gun sights on the hood from a driver perspective. Cant go wrong with any of them in my opinion.

  14. Over the last thirty years I've had three 55's, two 56's, a full dozen 57's and at least 8 567 Canadian Pontiacs, and three or four trucks. I still have a two door hardtop, my truck and a 56 sedan delivery. I would love to own a wagon like Nosurf's yet. Anyone reading this that would like to trade their wagon for a solid project two door hardtop, let me know :). I always will gravitate back to a 57, but years ago I remember a guy in Regina that had a 55 150 4 door sedan that was cashmere blue and had chrome reverses on it. It was lowered a fair bit and looked cool just sitting there. I would probably be converted.....

I looked and looked for a 56 a while back and couldn't find a decent one around here ...that I could afford. I wanted to do one because they are just so few up here. The salt ya know, it kills 'em. This is my 57 I bought in '76.

I'm on my tenth 56 Chevrolet (one I bought twice, so I count it twice), but have also had several 55's and 57's, both cars and trucks. The current one is a Sedan Delivery (my fourth Delivery), and is the last Tri-Five. The most important "feature" for me is, it has to be a 150 model. Butch/56sedandelivery.

Any of three if it's a Delray Club Coupe. Best tri-five interiors, IMO.

150 Utility Sedans appeal to me too, maybe just because I've never seen one in person.

My first real car (not counting the 31 fordoor) was a 56 2 dr 210 post. At 16 I built a 56 belaire (rescued from a junk yard...no front clip) 2dr. hardtop. I don't remember it ever getting beat for class, legally! The one time I got outrun @ the old Porter dragstrip I was late, still should have won. Years later some guy comes up to me and introduced himself as the owner of the 56 vert that beat me @ Porter. He asked if my 56 was really a 268 or was I cheating. I told him yep it was...he told me his was a 327! I guess it bothered him. What I didn't tell him was I had a lot of help from one of the best chevy guys around! Del Blades...

Well I guess everyone knows mine would be a 57, followed closely by a 55. Enough so I'm willing to part with my 32-5w body for one!
