Bob Falfa: Hey you're s'posed to be the fastest thing in the Valley man, but that can't be your car. It must be your mama's car! I'm sorta' embarrassed to be this close to ya!
John Milner: Yeah, well I'm not surprised, drivin' a field car!
Bob Falfa: Field car? What's a field car?
John Milner: A field car runs through the fields, droppin' cow shit all over the place to make the lettuce grow. (AG)

I love these 2 lines from "Used Cars" when that guy from Miami Vice test drives a '57 "Chev" from the lot to tries and make the owner have a heart attack from the wild ride he takes him on.

"Let's see what this baby's constricted of!"

then he takes off on the wild ride and does indeed induce a heart attack, so he rolls it back into a parking space on the lot (literally), the car is totally destroyed and says the following:

"$2,500 old man? I dunno, I'll have to think about it.."

  10. "I hate Illinois Nazis" -Blues Brothers
" Disco-pants and Haircuts, this mall has everything"- B.B.
"You got somethin' I can shoehorn a big hemi engine in and, you know, go fast?"- Hot Rod (That's my favorite scene in the movie)

I've got a friend that always uses one of two responses when someone asks him what kind of engine he has in his car.
"Stock Evenrude" or "Black and Decker aquarium pump"
Some people get it, most just look at him strange. I don't remember which quote is from which movie, but one is from Hot Rod, and the other is from A.G.

certainly not a car movie, and totally inaccurate, but the scene is great:

Womack "my cruiser weighs 16,000 kilograms."

OK you movie experts, help me out here.

There are two movies that I've seen on TV a long time ago and I want to know what they are. Oddly enough, both involve a '57 Chevy.

In the one, a 50's greaser guy dies and comes back to life to help some nerdy kid become popular. There was a scene where the greaser ghost guy and the nerdy kid are at a junkyard and the ghost guy fixes up a '57 Chevy convertible all magic-like. Anyone remember that, or know what it's called?

The other one is even weirder, there's a high school guy who drag races for money, and somehow the school principal gets involved, and they need to win this race through town to win some money, but the drag racing mafia bad guys wreck the kid's Chevelle, so they find a '57 Chevy that apparently the prinicipal used to race when he was a kid, and they fix it up to win the race? There was also a part in that movie where they drive the '57 through a car wash and clean all the paint off of it so it's a different color, then a bunch of other '57's come out of the car wash to confuse everyone.

I can assure you, I'm not on crack. I know these were movies, as bad as my descriptions of them are. Anyone know what I'm rambling about?
