My Godfather Jack (behind the wheel) and my Dad in my Parents '51 Nash Airflyte. My folks brought me home from the hospital in that Nash...and judging by that oo-la-la leopard skin upholstery, there's a good chance I was conceived there too:eek:. PD_0027.JPG
He's been gone for over 30 years, but I still miss him like hell:(

Only car pic I can find at the moment is my Dad with his not HAMB friendly 68 impala big block wagon. His first car when he came to America was a 50 Pontiac 2 door. He was an aerodynamasis engineer and did tons of work for Aireaserch and Cummins on turbos like the TO4 and gas turbines. Lost him in Jan of 20 , miss him dearly. He was also heavily involved with the Chrysler turbine cars.

No, it wasn't. The Cyclone had single exhaust as well from the factory.
Looks like Pops was a closet hot-rodder ;)

My wife came up with this one, I had forgot about it. That's my dad, me next to him, 2 of my brothers standing next to me, and my oldest brother is sitting in the back seat, you can just barely see him. DadMeDavidRobertHarold.jpg

My dad just bought this A coupe a few weeks ago and we drove it around today for father's day, was really fun.

Your dad's car appears to be a 1960 Dodge Matador, great pic either way though.

  15. This is one of the few photos I have in which my father with one of his cars. Sadly I lost my father on the 5th of this month so for me Father’s Day is going to be a little difficult from now on. 4F4CB655-7E9A-41CC-BF9F-60F12D4F2206.jpeg

Dad with his "A" sedan in high school Winter of 50-51. Even had the "Hot Rod" emblem on the hood, Lol. His 47 Business coupe in 54 when he was in the Marine Corps.

RIP Dad, I sure do miss him.

Looking at all the pics and reading the stories has got me really missing my dad. Loss him in’77 when I was 21. Just coming out of my arrogant teens. Sure wish he had lasted until at least my forties. He taught me a ton when I didn’t want him too and I really did not show my appreciation which I dearly regret. But he was a car guy... bought a ‘34 Buick to impress a girl, had the first ‘49 Olds 98 in Saskatchewan, drove me to the drags which wasn’t a short trip, and a whole lot more. I really miss him!

Since he’s been gone for over 3 years I can’t ask him, it’s a picture I found going thru all the stuff you never got to see or ask about until they’re gone. I just know I miss my dad every day, but especially today. Father’s Day, my birthday, and Sunday too….

Dad wasn't much about posing for pictures and he wasn't a car guy. I don't have any pictures of him other then him and mom's 50th wedding anniversary party.
Mom has 7 or 8 photo albums, there are probably 15 pictures of dad in them, mostly involving fishing or boating. Dad's been gone 8 years now.

Here's several, the first I've posted probably 100 times but still my favorite. From 1963, my dad, older sister and myself with his 35 Chevy standard coupe that was nailhead powered. The other photo is about 1959, his 50 Ford coupe with a 348 Chevy in it.

First picture is my Dad with his 40 Chevy convertible in 1942 while home on leave. The second picture in 1969(left to right) is my Grandpa on my Mom's side, my Uncle Wendell, Dad in the tan sweater and my Uncle Clark that owned the 60 Thunderbird. Dad always joked he didn't mind being in a picture with his brothers-in-laws and grandpa but he hated to be in a picture with a Ford in it:rolleyes: Dad was a GM guy , mostly Buicks, all his life. Thats where I get it from! DSCF3860.JPG DSCF2348.JPG

Dad's brand new 1935 Ford, always impressed me that he bought it when he was 19 years old. Bob

Me & Dad.JPG Me & Dad.JPG Took my dad to the 50th Bonneville speed week in 2008. A long drive from back east but a truly great adventure. I made him a vantage styled Pith helmet that cherished 'till his last day. We had a blast !!!!

Dad always told me that his first car was a Model A Roadster, but, sadly, no pictures. Pop in his work clothes when he was employed at Mt. McGregor.

Here's my dad with his 53 Chevy wagon. My mom almost said she almost cried when he traded their black 49 Fleetwood on it but dad loved it. I couldn't pass up this picture of Mom. All 4ft.11 in. of her. 238875519_4190876077632546_8627634852585140461_n.jpg 238875526_1002276344051825_1729794494857078327_n.jpg
