Hey guys. Anyone have a ballpark area to shoot for when setting a fast idle screw. Mine is on Rochester BC single barrel. Close it all the way off (IN) and then... Is it typically something you can set and forget. Any pointers and info on fast screws for this dummy would be greatly appreciated.
Get the shop manual for the car (or the car the engine came in), and follow the instructions. The general idea is that you want the idle speed to be a little bit higher when the choke is on. You can play with it, try different settings, get it so it's not too fast, but fast enough that the engine does not die when it's cold.
