I'm fabbing up a fan shroud for my roadster. I've been debating amongst myself whether my fan is in to deep . I really don't want to trim ,but I am thinking of maybe trimming a 1/4" to 1/2" off of the depth? I thought I would run it past you guys , Thanks , Bill

  2. That will probably work. in a perfect world a little shorter would be better but I am pretty sure that it will work the way that it is.

The blades should be half in, half out.

  4. X2. But that's the optimum arrangement. Sometimes compromises must be made.

  6. According to Walker Radiator 1/3 of the fan should be in (not 1/2)

Can't help but admire your over flow bottle. Is that your work? Looks good.

Why thank you, I appreciate that. I wanted something inconspicuous , so I made it to snuggle in between the rad and the grille shell. .I'm planning to paint it and the radiator black , I think it shouldn't catch your eye. Thanks , Bill

Originally I intended to make a hammer form and try to create a one off shroud, but my aching wrist and elbows thought otherwise. So I made something more functional that is clean and does it's job. I ended up trimming 3/8" from the depth and then proceeded to weld everything up. This is the end result. I just have to figure out what color to paint it . Black , body color or engine color, I 'll figure that out at a later date.:) Bill 2017-07-27 13.29.05.jpg

That looks great! I'm thinking black as a paint color.

What size fan is that? Whole package looks well thought out / engineered. I have the same water pump riser and am curious how big a fan you stuffed in there
