Here are a few from me. First up is one from down under ( sorry about the front wheels, it seems that it is a world wide epidemic). If you are paying attention you will see that this is a four door converted into two door using the original shorter front doors.

Another from the land of Oz and although this is not exactly a Falcon is does share the same floor pan (stretched a little) and inner structure
IMG_2318.JPG Back to the US and we have this, a real two door

  12. Interesting "coon", Roo.
I agree about an epidemic..Good term. Nothing screams bad fad , like those wheels.

After all this time I figured out what I equate this whole bolt on spindle mount charade to.
Remember the first time you saw a Mr Gasket street scoop and your reaction, yep, I actually gagged a little.

  15. Pushed mine outside today to straighten up the shop ..not a gasser...but this baby should put a smile on my face soon.. Hope the little 289 is a screamer..should be....and for anyone saying what headers for my Falcon..buy once...cry once...Doug’s Headers! I can’t imagine trying to fit anything else in there! One of my best purchases...FB marketplace, guy never used them and sold the car, ceramic coated, all the hardware, and collectors for $325.00. I couldn’t get them soon enough 88C665B3-966C-4C73-B384-3F23FBEFEDE6.jpeg 61294CB9-2683-4FF4-A2FF-D1D18E693660.jpeg

Had a set on my '67 Malibu about 15 years ago, they aren't cheap but they are the best. I'd love a set for my Comet but can't afford them at the moment. I remember calling them with some questions and the guy telling me 'Hold on, I'll put Doug on the phone.' I couldn't believe I was actually talking to Doug Thorley about headers.

  20. That’s awesome...always cool getting to talk to a legend. And yes I couldn’t afford the full retail on them. I think they sell for about $725.00 or $525.00 for the raw versions. The guy was asking $450.00, I threw and offer at him and he said when can ya get em. It was a 4 hour round trip, guy was super cool and had lots of really cool 60’s Ford stuff including a killer 65 Comet drag car. And yes I’m the cheese ball that had to order a Doug’s T shirt...gotta try to look cool at the cruise nights haha

Thank You...for now it’s got a stock hood, but I’m saving for a thunderbolt hood like the black car I posted. That, a 9”, and hopping to find some econoline seats...all things on my wish list. I do Need to figure out an exhaust system..not sure about it, but it seems like the SBF guys love Flowmasters, I’m thinking the single chamber small ones to make the neighbors love me.

This will be one of the nicest cars I’ve owned in a long time. Mutleys comet was my inspiration...
