Maryland was one. Pennsylvania had a rep for no altered anything including wheels (I heard Keystones were given a pass in the Keystone State). Not being from PA I can't verify that. Remember that back in the day our cars were still too new to qualify for Historic or Antique tags even in States that offered them.

  5. My ex-neighbor, Jim Wilm, built this Falcon and brought it to the Cleveland Piston Power show a couple of years ago:

Neat thread. I always enjoyed these cars and wanted to do something with my Falcon Ranchero in the ate 60s.

Some beautiful examples of 1st & 2nd Gen. Falcons!
They look kind of natural in that nose-up stance.
Always wanted one but couldn't find a decent un-rusted one.
I did have a really nice 64 four door when I was a kid, but....too many doors.

  13. We modified everything . LOL. The axle cars tended to get pulled over by police and picked on a lot. Police could get you for bumper to high, and tires sticking out past the body. Wheels were not looked at much by the law. Blowers out of the hood and open headers were frowned on , ask me how I know.;)

Ok, we zero each other out. I love them gassers, but not really into Falcons (well, maybe a well-done Sprint). All is good.:)

A buddy of mines from around 1975? It had a 428 fe with a 4-speed and 4.56 gears.
I rode in it once and that was enough, it was quite a handful. img170.jpg

  23. That’s bad ass! Jenson speakers and a Craig head unit?

What's the use, or sense, in posting comments like this? Who said the Falcons posted here are
actual gassers? Can't we just enjoy the photos without the bullshit? Real racers, the ones we
read about, see on tv and videos, evolved and didn't wallow in '50s/'60s memories.

"Oh boy, a new gasser society, I mean race series, has started. I understand it
will only accept cars that ran from April 17 through September 1965. Time to crank
    up the wayback machine!"

  27. One good reason is this is a traditional site , 65 and earlier..Not a 70's street freak site.
Plenty of F/B sites for those. Most of those guys couldn't buy a clue about Gassers for a thousand bucks.

There's no good reason for bullshit comments, no matter how old you are or how long
you've been a member here. The bitch is, that no matter what you're into car-wise, no site
seems to be free from the wise ass or know it all.

Yes, this is a "traditional" site, but it seems that Ryan and the moderators have given us
street freak non-traditional Falcon lovers a reprieve, at least for a while. One thing I don't
understand is why you keep coming back to this thread if the content offends you so much.
