Finding my original '53 Chevrolet pickup was a nice surprise, but it was NOT what I had been looking for... For years, I wanted to find a nice 61-63 Ranchero. It's always been a favorite. But while they seem to be plentiful in the South, up North they certainly arent. This lil' gem can be found in the pages of the latest Kustom Magazine, from Europe (where a Hamber signs a feature on Viva Las Vegas). The Ranchero is from Japan.
That makes my 62 El Ranchito look like the roach that it is. Nice car, but I like rickyracers better...
Yup, 61. Engine is a Trick Flow'ed and Crane'd 5.0. '86 Mustang suspension all around. '59 Caddy tailights. Interior is 66 Rambler and erection-inducing. Chopped 3 inches. Front wheel re-located (!)
[ QUOTE ] Yup, 61. Interior is 66 Rambler and erection-inducing. [/ QUOTE ] I'd like to see that! Which parts did he use in the interior?
That car/truck is way cool. But unless those are a canadian version of a 59 caddy tailite I'm thinking they are something else. Maybe like a frenched 54chev or??? The wheel and tire choice and fit is perfect too.
Whoa, Lowsquire -- that gold is eyepopping! Looks great. The interior of that Japanese Rancheroo looks awful. That steering wheel looks ridiculously out of place. Yes, Taegh, that was my Falcon at the Hoe Down. Suspension and steering is done, now I'm rebuilding an engine for it.
This post is making me think I ought to get started on my Raunchero. Lots of motivation here. Let's see the rest of your rancheros. Here's the 60 I got from tinbender last winter. Been looking for rear quarters for it, no luck so far.
Looks like you all have some pretty nice looking Falcon stuff.I have always been a little twisted when it comes to these cars.Right now I own five of these 2 -63 wagons-1 63 1/2 Futura hardtop-a 61-two door and a 63 four door parts car.And Im not doing anything with any of them, seeing this has given me a little fuel for thought.I really like the size of these cars--most of us know this was actually the first Mustang-Ford simply used the Falcon and put some sporty sheet metal on it and the rest is history.A lot of the mechanical parts are a bolt on, which is good, cause everyone makes Mustang parts.Nice cars!
