Rebuilding a GM BBC 1969 4150, and have a piece left. Darn!
What is it?
That's weird..... Never seen anything like it.....
Does that carb have manual choke???.....
It could be part of that mechanism....????...
Looks like a detent ball for the manual choke. When you roll open the choke the bull nose on that detent clicks and holds the choke open.
Yep!..... That's what I was thinking of.....
Here's a breakdown picture....
Anti siphon plunger under the accelerator pump squirter?
Nope! Because that part is pointed....
Can you get a picture that shows this? I originally thought it was part of the choke.
Winner Winner Chicken Dinner on a piece for the manual choke . The photo of parts is not broken down far enough to show this part . Remove the nut and arm from the bracket and high cam ramp and you will see that part and a spring . When reassembling it a touch of grease will help it to maintain easy operation for years .
Not on top of Chebbie carbs as well as Ford , not many as in very damn few were offered OEM manual choke .
Separate names with a comma.
