Well done Scott. I suspect that Frank is well pleased. I don't know you but I can say that I am very proud of you.

  7. The sign board is the icing on the cake,Frank was fortunate to have a young man to step up and finish a dream he had for more than 40 years.

Good thing got done by good people.
    Huge respect.

The car is perfect, the grey wheels seal it for me.

Haha, who knows? He probably went on to run the dealership. One of the two Chevy dealerships in the area at that time is still in business. The original builder’s son told me the coupe was used for promotional purposes for the dealership but he couldn’t remember which one? His dad worked at both. I’d love to see what it looked like before Frank got it.

For right now, just getting it roadworthy is the goal. I have all the fenders and running boards and I was always planning on putting them on. However after seeing it like this I’m liking it a lot more. It might get a chop, maybe not. Most importantly I sat at the table with Frank’s wife for two hours yesterday and we figured out a way for me to end up with this coupe. I own Frank’s deuce Tudor sedan and I might have to sell it back to the family, but if it means I get this coupe I’m okay with that.

scott, that thing looks a bit different than it did the last time I saw it . you did good ,real good. I dare say Frank may be a little jealous beside being happy & proud of you & the job you did. Steve S.

Cool story, cool coupe.....skip the chop, skip the fenders. You could probably deal with the gas tank though.

Yeah, I left the smash in the gas tank for now. It’s visible in the pictures from the late 70s on the storyboard. I just left it for the show.

Great story, great coupe. Did you have a 32-5 windows ONLY stand at the Autorama??
Congratulations on an excellent result after all your hard work.

Nothing special except the seat that Jennie (Stichbitch) did for me. I found the original floor boards and threw them in. Full dash of curved glass SW gauges as well. Maybe someday I’ll finish the rest of the interior but this is it for now.
