Does anyone know where to get the clutch fork, slave cylinder and push rod for a 1961-62 chevy truck bell housing? I want to use this in my 32 3 window. New or used, i just need one.
I will give you two options. Go to Portland Craigslist type in 1962 Chevy truck . Guy is in Woodburn Oregon. That’s what he deals in is 1960/1966 Chevy GMC trucks for years . Believe Chris is his name . I been there and bought trim a few months ago. There is probably between 15/20 trucks plus parts . Second maybe call Springfield Auto Recyclers in Springfiel Oregon . He deals in 1920’s to 1970’s vehicles and parts. We always have long bs sessions when I visit .
Easily available. Clutch fork....... https://www.ebay.com/itm/1549426093...JGfvSwMZ1o82u14141ee1zysyxn6YmlRoCIVwQAvD_BwE Slave cylinder......... https://www.oreillyauto.com/detail/...ive-truck-1962-chevrolet-c10-pickup-rwd?pos=0 and, the pushrod you can make yourself. I installed a '62 Chevy truck master and slave on the roadster. Had to make my own bracket though 'cause it's a turbo 4 cyl.
got mine from rock auto. had both in stock but the clutch arm I already had from my Olds hardware as i am running an Olds engine etc.
Mine is from an s10-slave is over the counter auto parts, master is aftermarket, can't remember who but you can find the on any site like Jegs, etc,. Fork was a stock type i had. You can built a mounting bracket. The rod actually is the big deal, it has to be super strong. I made a couple but they bent, finally went to a long grade 8 bolt and cut it down, worked.
You could also try the 60-66 Chevy GMC website. Used to have a good classifieds, but I have been to the site in many years.
Here's a pic of a simple mount on a Chevy (factory mount was on the R/H side so stock bracket doesn't work with L/H clutch fork) and a crappy sketch on how we make a pushrod out of a 3/8" GR8 bolt.
I’ve used the rocker ball on clutch linkage for years the never wear out. GM used many forks both hardened steel and forged. Adjustable rods are ez to make.
