Did a search...no luck. I'm putting 1953 F100 brake in a 40ish axle. I started with a box of parts so I don't have a reference how it goes. Heres the question....doe's the big shoe go in the front or back? thanks

Cracks me up when someone says they searched for info on subjects that have been disscused bazillion times! :D
OK now, the shoes are the same, it's the linings that are different lengths, and the short primary lining always goes to the front and longer secondary lining to the rear on Bendix dual servo brakes. :)

  5. Semantics! HRP

If you buy a 66 F-100 brake retainer springs kit ... you can get self adjusting brakes.

When buying new brakes shoes ... 53 to 66 F-100 are the same.
Also ... you can use up to 66 F-100 brake drums.

    :)
