So I have this 50 F1 that has a 70 nova front end and I`ve been messing around with the stance. I`ve come to the conclusion that the front end needs to be narrower to get it down and clear the wheels when turning. I spotted a nice 49 Chev truck that was in the weeds and his front wheels were way in the fenders. So I don`t know if there is anyway to narrow the nova clip? or which clip to use? The front clip has to come out anyway because the wheels are not centered in the front fenders and it drives me crazy and now the stance is a little nose high which also drives me crazy. So any suggestions? Thanks.
U mention removing the nova front suspenion & Being a nova it would be a sub frame assembly so It would depend on how u plan to replace the frame Inplace of the sub frame. I.e. tube rails͵ or replacing It with stock rails. Either way will open up alot of Posibilities over the nova sub frame. U might check Out a newer crown vic like alot of police departments Use. They have a really nice front suspension under Them. Its a totally self contained front crossmember Set up like a mustang II but all aluminum & bolt in.
Fatman sells narrower controls arms. But that won't help with centering the wheels. I have always thought that the fenders on an F-1 are bit wonky shaped making the tires look out of place. You can also just make sure to turn the wheels when you park and no one will ever know but you. Sent via Illinois Bell Telephone Company's Car Radiotelephone
