Technical F1 front drum brakes, F1 M/C, Ford 9" w/ 10" Drums...Do I need residual valves?

I can't seem to get a straight answer. The F1 M/C has 4 outputs coming out the M/C. One for the brake light switch, one for the rear wheel, and the last two going to each front wheel.

I picked residual valves, 2 pound for the front and 10 pound for the rear. Do I even need to bother putting them in?

  2. Under the floor?

Yes. Stock F1 M/C on a stock F1 Crossmember. In a Model A frame that's lowered. The wheel cylinders are above the M/C.

The stock F-1 master had an internal residual, so if yours does not, you will need aftermarket inline 10# residuals to each axle. The 2# residual is only used with disc brakes and low mounted masters. All vintage drum brakes need a residual, regardless of master cylinder location.
.....After some thought, I realized I've never seen a multi-port single system master on a Ford car or truck. By your description, sounds like you have an aftermarket dual master. A picture would be helpful.
