Hello HAMB, Doing some research and it's been a challenge finding and distilling info from the web on this topic. Say you have a 1954 F100 (maybe even F1) and you're going to move on to a T5 or even a SBF with a T5 and want to retain the stock pedal. I would assume you'd prefer the cable driven clutch vs hydraulic due to pedal modifications. Has anyone done the aforementioned SBF+T5 conversion and/or can you provide details as in parts needed like bellhousing, cables, brackets (part numbers), modifications, etc. Kind of looking for specifics. I think John Mummert has a clutch linkage bracket but not sure it would work with SBF+T5. Thanks in advance!
I'm guessing best case scenario is you can keep the pushrod style mechanical actuation and maybe use and older bell like from the 70's F100 and an adapter plate: https://www.summitracing.com/parts/sdk-t5platekit6/overview/
There are a bunch of cable clutch threads on here (search) but this is probably one of the better: https://www.jalopyjournal.com/forum/threads/tech-clutch-cable-installation-w-pics.210569/ I'll even send you a new Mustang clutch cable for the cost of shipping if you need one. My first effort did not pan out and I'm using a hydraulic now.
