Technical F-100 Steering

    Thanks for all the input to my issue, even though it wasn't even my thread. I'm going to see what happens when I get weight back in the car. If need be I will bend the the steering arm up some. Thanks again, Gene.
    Now, new question...I don't have a retaining nut for the steering wheel. I have read that it should be 5/8"-18. I have that size die and it won't even start on the threads, and 3/4" is too big 11/16"? Anyone know??? Update...I looked thru my whole bolt bin, I found one 5/8"x18 nut that started on. I was able to run it down and back a few times. But still I don't think it's exactly correct. It's there and tightened up, so I think it's ok.
