The 56 Olds dash I put in my shoebox Ford had only a fuel gauge and everything else was idiot lights, so I hung two gauges under the dash for oil pressure and water temp, I also connected the idiot lights, since they may catch your attention faster, if there is a problem.[IMG]

I have idiots lights but the oil one isnt wired yet. I mounted them in the front of an old cherry boot polish box, put the relays and fuses inside and bolted it to the parcel shelf behind the steering wheel.

I'd like to come up with a nice panel to mount it in, i guess there's not much choice.

Either hang it under the parcel shelf or maybe in some kind of bullet pod ontop of the parcel shelf?

That would work, as long as someone doesn't step on it.

What I did was go to a local muffler shop and get two inch exhaust pipe, had them expand it a bit and then welded a back flange on then weld it into the dash. Did five gauges this way and painted the inside flat black.
