    Love this thread!
    Reminds me how i got into this hobby, i lived in Englad for many years.
    I love early Thames, and also i really like those fenderless Anglias that are being built in the UK in the last few years. Thanx for the memories :D

    Lyingscotsman i agree your mates car is stunning, in many diffrent ways, but........why the hell is it sporting those horrendous wheels?
    Other than that you have to love that front end Zephyresque treatment. Soo well done. At leat it looks so in the pic

    Hersham Bob man, this one w/ the slots and WWW looks real mean.
    Do you have anymore pics?

  9. Love this thread- ain't it great?

    ... One from my album.. (Photoshop drawing by me.. the cars are fictional);

    Some lovely pictures in here. Here's a picture of my stocker:

    [IMG]

    It was totally stock apart from a tuned sidevalve which I posted a build thread about on here. Was knocking out about 60hp by the end and would hit over 80mph :eek:

    Had some fun on the dirt track at the Hot Rod Hayride in the UK, 2008:

    I broke the diff on its first outing, it's pretty weak and I'm not sympathetic, and a kind guy some distance from me donated an axle for free. The car is now owned by him after doing some serious rounds around the country!

    Here's my later 60's Anglia:

    Don't shoot me down for posting that up though, I know it's not too HAMB friendly...

    Has anybody seen or have pictures of the Cali Bros Anglia its the 1st red one in Hemi mans picture taken at Indy in 65. Frank and John Cali where friends of mine and sadly no longer with us. I'm looking for the car to restore as a tribute to Frank and John. The attached pictures are the only ones I have. Car had a 426 hemi and Vitar torqueflite and Olds rear.

    Thanks Pat

    My son, Superdave, has a '48 Anglia. I got it for him when he was 13 years old (he's 30-something now). It was a total rebuild father/son project and he saw it through to completion. He now lives in California but keeps the car at my place in Michigan. Once a year when he comes home for a visit we get it out and take it to the strip. How I look forward to those visits!
