Projects Everybody needs a shop truck, let's build a 49 GMC

  1. Considering how intimately I know you, I find it strange that somehow I don't know what "3B" is.

    ???

    (Truck looks good.)

    It doesn't really mean anything.

I wanted a number on the door of the roadster, "3" looked nice.

If it actually raced on the salt, it would be in the "B" engine size class, hence the B.

If I have to make it "mean" something.....

    Wow!

Kickass build thread. I can't believe I missed it all this time.

Can you expand a little on what you did to fab your rear lowering blocks?

    The lettering looks great Rich!

This has been a great build thread, and on a reasonable budget even. It would be hard to buy a decent beater pickup with the miles and options on yours for the same money.

I think the best thing about this whole deal is how many Hamb 'taboos' you've broken, and still 10 pages of nothing but compliments here. Half the stuff on that truck would get the average FNG bitched right off the board.

    Great work brother.

Well, it's about 10 degrees out, but I fired it up just for you.

I dig the sound idling, and up to half throttle, but after that, it's pretty loud, and cackles...

  23. Now that's what I'm talkin' about!!

    Awesome! Thanks!!!

I broke down an spent $150 for a new chrome front bumper.

I really like how it looks.
