Event Coverage Event coverage: Sycamore IL "Fizz Ehrler" memorial car show

Pretty big local show here, 500+ cars, plus a bunch of bikes. Anything on wheels is welcome. I think everything I'm posting is HAMB friendly, I'm skipping the muscle cars, new stuff, trucks, jeeps, and oddities. A few I'll comment on, here and there, but not most of them.




I liked the way they frenched the antenna in to the back of the cab on this one, and created a body line around the bottom edge.



If you were at Goodguys in Iowa, this truck was in the BF Goodrich tent. A friend of mine did the three year restoration + hot rodding on what started out a rusty pile of parts on a trailer.

 

A one (family) owned Packard, complete with back story on picking it up after production had ceased.

 

Traditional style, very non traditional power plant. Cool hood blisters.

Here's something you don't see every day:

 

I'm no expert, but I think this one is an original. The (bare) aluminum body is a clue. In paint, I'd have assumed it was one of the many repros.

 

This had a really nice light to dark fade, pictures don't really show it though.
