History Estate Sale SCORE

    Today`s estate sale score. I went to look at the hubcaps they had...which were all gone by the time I got there....HOWEVER.......

    Hours,and hours,upon hours of reading material for a whopping $45.00.....127 little pages magazines!!!

    Some car guys picked up the hub caps, and DIDN'T GET THESE???

    Excellent!!!

    I just paid a little over $45 just this afternoon…....fishing no more than a half-dozen out the ‘bay.

    Nice score! Can I read 'em when you get done?????

    I dream about a score like that. Screw the elusive Pines Winterfront '32 Grille some guys find, I want them damn mags!!!

    Great Score!

    I picked up a bunch of Mechanics Illustrated from the 50's, interestingly they had an article on Test Driving the Model A 30 years after the fact.

    Great score! That issue with the 77 Sunset Strip Kookie T has a feature on my Lyndwood as well.

    GREAT score!!! I see a couple nice 1st issues right on top! I bet there are more treasures further down in the pile!!!!

    Shoot, I'd give $20 just for a copy of that "Hop Up" issue! :cool: Nice score!

    Cool score! OT, but kinda cool. On the way home from southern Ohio pop's stopped at a yard sell and bought two huge boxes of old magazines. They were "Life" (I think) and "Leatherneck- the official Marine Corp mag. We got home and started looking at them and realized they were from during WWII. It was neat to read the articles being written while the war was taking place. In the bottom of a box was a complete uniform from Marine Corp uniform from WWI! It was mint and had everything but the boots. It was too nice to just sell so he ended up donating it to a museum for everyone to enjoy,
