I gave Ernie's info to Jay Leno and tried to talk Jay into doing a segment on his Jay's garage show. I know Jay would have a blast if he went out there.

I met Ernie back in August of '88 when I flew to Phoenix to watch a Dwarf Car race. I had already purchased a bare skeleton chassis from the company he was a partner in, and was impressed by his eye for detail. Aside from his great collection of street driven cars, his invention of the Dwarf Race Car is very significant, to oval racing in general. Some of the nation's best oval racers cut their teeth in Dwarfs, or the Legend cars that evolved from his original concept. I even had a couple of fun years racing, and another dozen years building cars and components. Thanks for memories Ernie ! img20180223_10235800.jpg

I was just at Ernie's last week. I did not take any pictures of his shop equipment but it is extensive. A very large English wheel, a large bead rolling machine, a huge lathe and lots more. All outside in the warm Arizona weather.
    Incredible work on those cars.

I've been seeing Ernie and his cars all around Phoenix for more than 20 years. He's a super nice guy and his machines are just amazing.

  16. Saw Ernie and his buddy at the Pavillions Cruise in Scottsdale a few years ago. Impressive men. Impressive cars. Just made my day.
