Oh my, that's freakin' gorgeous! Kind of exotic though, isn't it? Anyone in the position to squeeze of these into a 47 wouldn't be asking for advice on the HAMB, I'm just sayin.....

Would have fit perfectly if they used a $60 electric fuel pump like they should have and just blocked off the pump mount.

 

Why not the shotgun? Early 60's was the first experimentation and testing, 1963 to be exact.

 

Production was 68, right?

 

Do you have your SOHCs and your Shotguns confused? BTW, early name for the early Boss 429s in prototype was the Blue Crescent

 

I haven't found anything that works with power steering box. I saw someone using the speedway zoomie header kit and had it dump between the X and the frame think I might go that direction

Correct, release from experimental and prototype.

Boss 429's were predated by the 427 SOHC by five years in development and released for use in 1962 by Holman and Moody for further development and testing along with the Boss which came later but well within the time frame for this site as far as development goes. Yes; Blue Crescent, Shotgun, and finally Boss for the 365 Series big block 429.

I understand a 1965 and later Saginaw 3 speed is a syncro to 1st transmission, and has shift levers that are very similar in design to early Ford levers. With a little fiddling you can use your original column shift, and have a full syncro transmission.
