all I know is that this one time I was an idiot and cut the ends on a 4 piece oil pan gasket to fit, Uh yeah, don't do that :)

so I had a MASSIVE oil leak oddly enough?

the problem came in when the way the front crossmember/oil pickup was positioned I would have to lift the engine up almost a foot to get it out, balls...

so a can of break cleaner 3 rags and a tube of ultra black later my oil leak was fixed.

that was 3 years ago, still holding strong.

oh and for exhaust, I have literally fixed a leaky exhaust manifold gasket by cleaning it super good with break cleaner and forcing that copper inpreganted sealer into the hole, let it dry over night and viola:)

that was on my buddy stewys car and that was over 2 years ago and she is still nice and quiet, well still was at least when he sold it last month.

permatex "right stuff" works great with almost no set up time. never had it fail & it's available at all the big chain parts stores.

Right Stuff! It's worth the $16 for the tube.

My vote is for 'Right Stuff' kind of like a loctite for oilpans and valve covers:D

I use the ultra black that comes in the cheese wiz container It is the best stuff I have ever used . The only problem is when you try to take it apart.

i agree, use it on all my race engines. btw, the 2 calking tube pack with a gun is cheaper than 2 tubes alone.
