Everyone knows the drivers side of the car is the left and the passenger side is the right, correct? I need to buy a fan clutch for my engine and I can get one that rotates clock wise or counter clock wise, now, is this from the drivers seat or looking at the front of the motor? I'm assuming drivers seat, but even the guy at the parts house did not know.
Front of the engine, pay attention to belt routing to determine water pump rotation, crank rotates clockwise.
Yes engine rotation is always determined looking at the nose of the crankshaft (standing in front of car).
Rotation is by looking at it, so that means it rotates clockwise unless its a Chevy VEGA to which the fan rotates counter-clockwise
Huh? A lot of newer engines rotate the fan opposite the crank...like every small block Chevy and Ford built after 1987...
