  1. Good seeing you again Swade... there sure WAS a lot of breakage... the Charger that spit out a tranny on the starting line was uglyyyyyyy..there was enough small parts lying on the track to built a Toyota!!

Jeff once again grenaded the 55 you posted..whole thru both sides..
Greg (flapper) also blew his BBC up..Man I feel for this guy..Rear end first time ,now the motor..split the block in 1/2.. holes large enough ,I reached in and pulled a hunk of piston out of the pan.
then there was the Anglia that did a slow flip just off the launch pad..
Got feel bad for these guys for sure also.
we didn't win any rounds ,but didn't hurt the car and it fit in the trailer in one piece.

Great event and congrats to ALL the GRS gang who make this event happen. We ALL know, there are workers and there are watchers..Was easy to spot them both.

Was a fun day but there are a few who need a hug. But thats racing. All that really matters is no one hurt.
Here's a video. Not a Les Mayhew but something .;)

Have a few shots will put up.
Phil I took a Vid with my crappy point and shoot and one with Glenn's nicer camera. Will get him to post it and get mine online.

Was great putting some faces to names and a pleasure meeting y'all. I would say names but would just screw up. I absolutely suck at remembering names:eek:. Made to many lead hammers and sinkers as a kid.:p
    thank you

  3. Luke, good to see you, that video of just the nostalgia gassers lined up is a great representation of what was there. Then there was street gas and of course mod-gas too !

On the pics of the hemi. Was not trying to dwell on the poor fellow. I am truly sorry for you and your wallet. Just wanted to show:

    1. Opportunity to get some in pit working shots.
    2. You can see what happened (rod bolt pulled out)
    3. Can see the benefits of a Diaper.
    4. Check out the 4 bolt caps and thread depth that everyone always talks about on here.
    5. Check out the Block cylinder wall thickness that everyone talks about on here.
    6. Check out the filled block.
    7. Most important..........Car lives to fight another day.
