Electric Vacuum Pump vs Electric Wiper conversion

A decade ago I had my 56 Olds' vacuum wiper pump rebuilt, and It worked sortof OK, with the normal vacuum wiper issues.
However, with the new Motor ( bigger cam, notched plenum in the intake) they have become pretty worthless.

So the Question is; could an electric vacuum pump cure my woes? I can get one out of a superduty ford for $50.00.

Or should I buck up for the electric conversion for 200.00? (which I dont have)

 

I'd go electric and do way with the "normal vacuum wiper issues"
