Just a late reminder the last SCTA meet of the year is this weekend. Gonna be a nice weekend with some really cool hot rods out and about as well. The best part is its FREE this weekend. So come on out for the day or the weekend. Hope to see some of ya out there.

Reminds me that I need to get my ass retired so I have time to take off and go to these events. Sounds like it might be a good one.

Had a great time today, most fun I have had out there in years here are some of the hot rods for those that couldn't make it. 20171111_084525.jpg 20171111_084613.jpg 20171111_084718.jpg 20171111_113943.jpg

Priceless...Thanks for sharing this...Stuff Looks like Mother Natures Cobblestones or interlocking Cow Flaps...:p...That beats the hell out of your average Cruise Night...Thanks @ROCKER77

And good on all you HotRod/Custom folks for giving the ole dirt some metallic ambience.

Did you guys do any runs down the lake or is that not allowed?

Hey Rocker first of all you are fantastic with the Eye and the Machine...
thats a rock solid bunch of pics.
This pic I am not sure if you saw a blend happening but I did and these are sometimes planned but other times just the play of randomness anyways this is my inspiration from it. I called it Mirage on El Mirage...

The shot you took is really cool in the hood area. The pleasing curve with the pickup hood trim blending in with the Deuce hood, trim and cap among the capture of a near blending of the 2 vehicles.

Hope you get a You and Slinger and of course all the others get a kick out of it. Who the heck knows maybe someone might attempt this it looks pretty cool.

    Thanks for the inspiration...

On seeing the blended picture my instant reaction was " '32 Ute", different and practical at the same time.

Hell I will start bottling up the holy grail dirt and ship it out. Just pay shipping and handling and 39.99 per bottle and if you act now you will get two for the price of two.

Did you happen to notice if there were any race cars there? 188 on the virgin rookie pass on Sat. This picture not at El Mo. 13987371_1768017290082471_962519234743150165_o.jpg

Spent a lot of time on the starting line, just a little too crowded for decent pics. I usually post up at the end of the track by the timing lights and since I don't have a nice camera the pics either turn out like ants with a dust trail or really blurry.

@Stogy the old hotrods can not run down the scta track, but the lake bed is big enough so we find a good spot out away from the event and set up an 1/8 and run em. The old hotrods get lots and lots of looks.

I'm pretty sure the last thing you'd think of seeing on ole hypersonic would be a 40 pickup hardtop...:D

Second run. 287 mph. Top speed of the meet. I think of the year. This was Bob's second run ever on the dirt. Got to say he's not afraid of it. 23434740_1618272958212148_8268602694051441671_n.jpg
