Real kool vid not sure if posted if so sorry but its killer
I love their hot rods. Thanks.
cool stuff there!
Those guys have a full and complete understanding of what hot-rods are all about.
Great video of great cars. Thanks for posting.
WOW! A wake up call to get back on the lakes and the street. Thanks for posting.
It was a GREAT two days of fun
But I think I had the wrong shoes on... guess which ones??
After viewing this my blood is racing and I JUST have to say if anyone still doubts why my ' 34, the former "Northern Star" appears the way it does today after finding in the shape I did, I'd have to have a good sit down talk with you. I just wish I had been there. It, IMO is the street version of the 33/34,s seen here. Wow oh wow!!! what a great thing to sit with your morning coffee with, then walk out to the shop and just ogle my own. Thank you Mr. engine 138 for posting this.
That is probably the best hot rod related video I've seen in quite a while. the quality is outstanding but I could do without the musical background, just let those engines provide the audio.
This video makes me want to hold an non-sanctioned, renegade HAMB get together out there at El Mirage. What a great place to meet and hang out for a day (or 2) and run what you brung. I know we can't do that right now, I assume it's closed down for the time being. But once it opens back up what's to stop us from doing that?
El Mirage is a very popular location. Between commercials filming, SCTA events, gyrocopter fly ins, etc. you might have a difficult time booking a date but then again as usual I could be wrong. Still it would be cool if it could happen.
Let's do it! By the way, El Mirage dust is still lurking in crevices of the old girl from last fall on the dry lake bed...
Why would you have to book a date? I've been there hundreds of times, never had to book a date to drive onto the lake bed before. It's about 8 miles long by 3 miles wide, plenty of room to find a spot to gather. Even if something else is going on that day.
OMGOSH! TOO KOOL!
There's not a dog in the bunch...…………………………….
That dust you mentioned is still lurking in cracks and crevices of my Deuce highboy roadster from Nov. of '19. I show all my buddies what it is like to get dusty from the racers at El Mirage. We were informed by JoAnn Carlson that the races won't held for a long time because of this pandemic. We are chomping at the bit to get back out there and see History in action. If you haven't been, you are missing the best experience a true rodder can have. You are among the royalty of the pioneers: Gene Winfield, Nick Arias, "Jitney Jake" (Jim Jacobs of Pete and Jake's), plus plenty of rodders like myself who slide in just to see the action. No bullshit, I feel as though we are on hallowed ground. Should be on everyone's bucket list. We've been 4 times and will continue until I can no longer drive the roadster.
They have a good documentary on Fire Stick, great to see them driving the hell out of those cars and keeping them going.
Its our home turf and we miss it!
And yes we are stopped from racing until????????????????????
