I remember my grandfather saying he had a 36 (?) Ford convertible and doing a similar "paint job" , only he glued pin-up girl pics all over his car. He said when his father had to borrow the car, he felt like a dirty old man , lol !
Thanks for all the pics , BTW.
Looks like a good day racing, thanks for sharing.

Great pictures, thanks for posting.....
195.... 197.... 199...........200! At last we qualify for the 200mph club!!
The roadster was built by Eric Hansson of Scandinavian Street Rods. Look at the wheels, they are bullet copies of the early Hailbrand's , and were designed by Chip Foose. It was and is driven by Ruth Lundring. Eric and Ruth are members of the Rod Rider Racing Team. Eric also has an amazing belly tank, but this year they are just running the roadster, Ruth pulled a new record of 171.215 on a 161.146. If they keep up the good work, Ruth might be the fourth woman in the Dirty Two Club
Nice photos, thanks for posting.
Cool pics, thanks for sharing. I need to get back out to El Mirage one of these days. I grew up going out there to ride dirt bikes and dune buggies, and every so often the weekend when I'd be out with my family would be the same weekend as the SCTA events. I spent many times walking through the pits and talking to the racers. Even years later when my own kids were small and I'd take them out there with buddies from work to ride ATC's. But it's been a long time since I've been out, I should make an effort to get out there this year.
This place looks awesome.
What... what IS that? LOL They even givin' the stink eye a little bit. Looks fun as anything.
37 Plymouth ?
No Jeff is not awesome it's dusty. And it will get under the glass or plastic of your dash instruments not to mention everything else.
Great photographs. Thank you.
Thanks for sharing!
another set. I liked all the vintage motorcycles used to ride around the event. Reminds me of my MX racer days in the 1970s
