The pic in the the first post looks a lot like one that lives around these parts, semi black with deep burgundy flake roof and cove. The boys at ColdWarMotors on YouTube have just finished Deans Edsel. Worth a watch...
"peggy sue got married" was a movie about a girl who time-travels to her youth. in one scene, her dad pulls up in the car he just bought, and peggy sue exclaims, "oh, daddy--you bought an edsel!!!"
Far out! I was going to post pictures of mine, but it looks like someone already did! I built this one in mid 2012 and I am still driving the heck out of it!
My very first model car was an AMT 1959 Edsel convertible. I was 8 years old, no paint, a few glue spots where they shouldn't be, and my introduction to water slide decals, what a mess!! I blew it up with firecrackers a few years later. As the years went by I got much better at putting models together and then the Beatles showed up and girls weren't creepy anymore. No more models after that. Lol
