I bought an intake for my SBC used at a swap meet. How do I know if it's for a BBC or a SBC? I can't see any visible #'s except for patent #'s . Thanks.

  2. Go to Jegs or Summits website and look at pics. Easy to tell apart.

  3. Set it on your small block, if it fits its for a small block.

A big block chevy is longer than the small block that's another way to tell.

  4. If the ports are oval, its a oval port Big Block. The small block stock heads are approx. 1 1/4" by 2 1/16" of an inch. Plus or minus on these, OK, never know if someone hogged them out. TR Give me 5 minutes I'll try an give you a stock BBC rectangular intake port size. I only have race fabricated manifolds handy.

  5. BBC intake approx. 2 1/2" by just over 1 3/4", again plus or minus, TR

  6. Post a picture if you can, and one of us will tell you most everything you ever wanted to know about it, TR
