I don't run a hood on my T-bucket, and have been caught in the rain more than once. I always worry about the distributor getting wet and causing me problems. The easy and attractive answer is a factory Ford distributor boot.

Found on most 80s Crown Vics, Grand Marquis and most other V8 Fords, this rubber boot emblazoned with a Ford logo simply slips over the top of the distributor and spark plug wires. Made to fit the Duraspark dist., it fits everything. Price? Most yards will give it to you.

Pic#1 is the boot and distributor. Pic#2 is the "assembled" unit. Pic#3 demonstrates that it is also good for hiding an ugly HEI.

  4. Normally I'd just let the MSD do it's thing when it's wet outside. (Puts on one hell of a light show on damp nights!!!!! )

Great Idea for us Hoodless guys...!!!
