    For your modern daily driver or the wife's car: When you come across those Torx type fasteners, you can use an allen wrench of like size to loosen or tighten those things.

    I found a plumbing plug at home depot that works great for the waterpump when pulling an engine. I hate having antifreeze dump on me when Im lifting the engine over the radiator. Its rubber with a bolt in the middle that you tighten to expand. Like the old freeze plugs but bigger.

    I might be completely off-base here, but there is bicycle chain lube called T9 Boeshield. I wonder if it might be similar? I've never sought an aircraft supplier, but bike shops are pretty easy to come by.
