Bun N Burger on Main Street in Alhambra. We were there for hours talking to the owners. It was sold in the 70's to Asians. They bought the unit next door to enlarge the dining room. They sold it to the current owners. The guy was one of the original cooks from the 60's & they bought it w/ the help of the city of Alhambra. Very cool it's still there. Food was pretty good too.
My wife lived a couple of miles from there growing up & practically lived there.

We were driving the blown Willys :)

I called Jason at Pete & Jakes to let him know about the Rodder's Journal cover and feature article. He surprised me by asking me if I liked their ad in the magazine. He then told me there is a full page ad with the Sedan featured prominently in it. When I got home I looked and it is a great ad. With the help they gave us on the Sedan, I'm glad they can benefit from it too.

I need more opinions. I have 4 choices for door windows.
    1. Roll up glass
    2. Pull up galss (with a strap)
    3. Roll up Lexan
    4. Pull up Lexan (with a strap)
    What do you think?

    What, no plywood?

Go with tempered glass. Lexan will drive you crazy with scratches.

  9. Roll up glass, fer gawds sake. plus they should be power! Don't forget the air & heat, tilt wheel and Fenders, it really needs fenders!
    Just trying to help.

I go with tinted, tempered glass from the Glass House. I've used them several times and the fit was perfect and the price was right. 909-592-1078 in Riverside

  14. Roll up glass, definitely. Lexan is a pain because it scratches easily, and the straps can be a hassle when you want to just crack the side windows in the winter to help clear the fog on the inside of the windshield. With straps, it's either up or down, unless you want to put a bunch of goofy looking snap receptacles all down the inside door panel.

  15. Windows??? are you getting old???

Please no tint unless it's coke bottle green like the old E-Z Eye or Soft Ray stuff.

option #1 with light tint & mabe roll down windows all way round that way you could have the look you want when you want it...............

  19. Glass would be much more user friendly and make more sense in the long run. Granted that this one stays together a little longer than the last one.

It seems like we will be using glass on the doors.

    Next question.
Should I put glass in all the way around?

As opposed to what? Combination plate? You can always put filon on top for the UPS look.

Depends on how you are going to keep it. Racer mostly, lexan for lightness. DD, use glass for comfort. Then there is the cascade of other stuff to keep you comfortable, carpeting, headliner, dynomat, A/C, tilt wheel, all the other stuff Pete loves.

The easiest thing to do is keep it as is. Drive it like you stole it and fix it when it breaks. If it is too cold, put on a sweater. All passengers should expect a ride that the exterior promises. No frills.

  23. In my opinion, if you put one piece of glass in, you should put them all in. It would look odd with only door glass and a windshield installed.

There will definitely be no added upholstery!!!!

  26. Yep, no brainer. Night driving without scratched up windows is so much nicer, not to mention rain and glare. This will probably slow the car by a tenth though

It sounds like the Sedan needs windows all the way around.
    Next questions.
Who makes the best fitting window channel and regulators. Also, who can fit the glass properly in California or Arizona???
