Went out on rust patrol a few weeks ago with Scorpion Iron. Found a sweet A firewall and not much else worth dragging home. After a handful of fruitless leads were gone thru, we hooked up with His Brother in law and grabbed some lunch. This is when your expectations are returning to a realistic level. (The breakfast at the Cle Elum Bakery was the highlight of the trip to this point and I had no problem with this!)Jason the B.I.L., asked if we wanted to go check out a friends car that he wanted to sell? What is it? Model t..Never hurts to look.Went to the friends house and opened the garage.Buried in the sea of crap this is what was found. [IMG]

Dodge 241 with about 500 miles on since built and parked in the late 70's.
Enough copper platting to revitalize the economy.
Steel t body with glass mods and a paint job that defies words.
Halibrand Quick Change and a hydraulic pedal assembly that was spot on.
<O:p</O:p
Told the owner that if its for sale that we would like to make him a offer.<O:p</O:p
No dice...Pending sale to another buyer...
Left Jason to keep us in the loop if it falls thru..Headed back to Seattle with plenty to talk about.

Now that is an outrageous example of the broken-back show car Ts in the 60s-70s.
I wouldn't change a thing. Just upholster it and enjoy it.

We should always remember what not to do.

Rich got the call on friday afternoon that the car was available. Turned around with the family and swapped the suburban for the truck and trailer and headed back to Eastern Washington</ST1:p as was the original plan.
Rich made the deal, added air and loaded it on the trailer. <O:p
See what a can of never dull can do..

Anyone ID the intake??<O:p

I would drive it for a year just like it is. Who really gives a damn what everyone else thinks.
It isn't like that one car cruising around being cool and wierd in its own way is going to bring that fad back.:D Enjoy it for what it is, and then after a while make it yours!!

What The Heck were they thinking? I remember as a kid going to the World of Wheels shows in the 70's and just loving those outrageous style rods. Not so much now!

Mmmmmm....hemi. And that's some serious rake on that body. That '69 Mopar looks to be a T5 copper metallic Plymouth Satellite.

LOVE IT! paint job hits home!

20. Shades of Art Himsal. Some day those paint jobs will be as traditional a candy apple red laquer.

1976... when Street was Neat. you have to wear bellbottoms and have big sideburns to even take a ride in that. I like it.

Drugs are bad! :)

Very unique set of parts -- but not altogether! I would use the majority of these parts and build a kick ass track roadster!

27. wow, now we into 70s finds. musta been early 70s as paint looks like a 60s acid trip. lol. i think i like it. good luck.

28. That thing is a trip... man! What a great find! And in K-members wifes hometown!! Keith you missed out man!

Leave it as is, if you rob parts from it you'll just use em to build something everyone else has!

29. Probably not, but there is always that slight chance.

I mean, are you willing to accept personal responsibility if it does bring it back???

Though I'd hop right in it and go for a spin myself if I had the chance.
