I'm getting ready to plant flowers in my 348 and get me an early Oldsmobile, just so I can snag me a set of them heads - absolutely stunning.

Those are works of art! It's great you've got all that modern engineering in an original looking casting...not all billet looking!

Hey Tony, with these heads, can original valve covers be used?

Yes original covers can be used,They have a .250 raised cover rail to keep oil from running down the side of your engine when covers are off.
This will also help with running adjustable rockers, high lift cam and stock covers

Next peice should be a website...

A few different intakes? 2x4? 4x2? 3x2? 6x2? 8x2? a nice single 4, high rise 2x4? 2x4 Cross Ram (so I don't have to make one)? and then some fuel injection set ups would be sweet too.

Yeah that was my question. I wounder how much you would have to change the patterns to fit on a Cad or would it just be in the machining? Or maybe even a Studebaker?

Tony, the next part might be the front cover for 49 to 62 blocks. It could be a direct copy and not take any extra effort to engineer plus alum water pump could be an idea. Nothing fancy with fins , just a easy way to get some weight off. Thank you for wanting input to improve an icon of hot rodding.

It's great to see someone putting the effort into the early Olds stuff. Thanks. The aluminum single four barrel setup, and a nice set of headers would be my next wish.

    Hello Tony:
    Like I said before........awesome!
Looking closer at your picture of the heads, I see there is no exhaust port cross over to heat and equalize the intake manifold. Are these heads more just for racing? Without the heat on the maifold how will these head be just for street use? Also will need a manual choke correct?

They are a performance head that can be used on the street
The cross over is not needed,I also wanted 8 exhaust ports doing the same thing
Yes you would need an electric choke If your using one

Man, the guy I bought the car from just had the engine fully rebuilt too. The numbered heads are off the motor too. Guess I'll just wait.

Personally, a set of headers would be really nice. Even a set of shorty's that would be more universal would suffice.
