Showed up on Chicago craigslist, flathead powered, on a '34 Ford chassis and panels from '55 Stude. Surprisingly small for an early custom, as many were large cars.

  2. weird, but kinda cool. Almost like a Cheetah in the front.

Is that thing back? I remember it was cussed and discussed here about 5 years ago.... also on the Hemmings forum and the Studebaker Drivers Club forum. Maybe even the AACA forum. It's a weird one for sure.

More like an attempt at building a sports car. There were a lot of such in the fifties, some even got finished.

The rear windshield looks a lot like a Studebaker piece, but nothing else does. I agree with 283john that it does have a Cheetah look to it. If it is indeed partially made of a '55 Studebaker it would not be from a Hawk. Too early for that.

The 'cabin section', windshield, roof and back glass are definitely Studebaker parts. The rest is anybody's guess. I also agree it has a certain appeal and is a bit reminiscent of a Cheetah.
