Well it's a little after 3am and I just finished devouring a great corned beef and cheese(no Swiss left;I had to settle for American Yellow)sandwich and a can of cinnamon flavored pears so I'm up for awhile! Should've made som coffee;that would have put me to sleep. Anyway I've been getting some stuff ready for the panel jam Sunday so I thought I'd post a pic or two: The first one is self-explanatory:
man, these Friday Art shows are spreadin' like wildfire! Oh well, I already posted this one in Tuck's post, but hey, what the hell! Here's an old jacket I painted up (again.) Dig it!
How about some functional art. Take a '49 Caddy steering column and wheel and a dynaflow converter. Weld. Instant table, just add glass.
Zman, thats way cool for a table I would do thick tinted or smoked plex, that way it's a bit more durable
I actually made it for the guy I'm doing the Caddy for. The bitch has been finding glass cheap. I've got a bunch more little stuff like this that I've made. I'll have to take a pic of the towel racks I made. It's funny what you can use spare parts for.
Cheap glass? Go to a K-mart/Walmart and buy the glass for those little round decorator tables. The tables are made out of pressboard and have three legs. They sell the little round glass tops separately to put over the tablecoth to keep it clean. They are 20" round... maybe $10 or less.. Here's the table your looking for and the glass top is usually sold right near it... web page
Hopefully they'll have one a little bigger. I think the wheel was 20" I want it to go over it a little. But I'll stop and check on the way home. Thanks.
Haven't posted on here for a while. I restored my 1956 "Wonder Horse" awhile back.Got it when I was 6 years old. At some point in its life we three kids decided it should be white . We had the rump painted before mom caught us. She wiped it off as best she could but it was a pinto for much of its life. Hand painted over the old outlines, thought it came out pretty good. It is now entertaining it's third generation.
I just found HAMB and wanted to a part of the "Art Attack" I really diggin the work here! Here's are a couple of Shift Knobs I made.
COOL knobs!! but do an intro on the main board so we know who you are. BRUSH, those ROCK, as usual. i really like the Poncho! can't wait to see the art yer doin for me ... Mike

Work in progress. Last week, someone was asking about making a design symetrical. Here you can see the grid done in Stabillo. From there it is a matter of drawing a design, and following the lines.
Nice work as usual boys, keep it coming. Last night I finally found the Mack brush I bought last year and lost in a move. Time to get practicin'.
