Event Coverage Early Ford V8 Club Swap Meet 04-23- 2017 Fitchburg Mass

Discussion in 'The Hokey Ass Message Board' started by Robert J. Palmer, Mar 21, 2015.

  1. Going to send mine in Wednesday or Thursday.
    Same spot number 14

Already booked my motel room so I can be in line at 4:30 A.M.
Don't want to miss any before the gates open sales.
    Remember your flashlights!

  2. I'll remember this time: left lane for spectators! Right lane for vendors! (Got there at 4 last time and wrong lane!)

This good weather for the past couple of days has me looking forward to it. Hopefully I'll get to meet more of you guys there...

Edit: so 2016 is the year of cheap prices, right?

The prices are always good at spot 14. Make me an offer I can't be insulted.

Nils and I are back at the same spots, 149 and 150.I hope the weather is a repeat of last year!
But as usual, bring every type of clothing you can think of, especially WARM stuff!! Always a breeze.

I'm in the market for a nice 30/31 hood top ( no sides) for my coupe. I will buy a complete hood if I have to - Oi vey

    I'm back in #140 this year. @BOSTONCAMARO is in #89 I think.

This may be the only swap I do this year, so I'm going to bring as much as I can and try to find new homes for it. I've got a bunch of NOS 2" aftermarket chrome exhaust tips, those 20 someodd windshields give or take, & my old outboard that'll be easy to spot along with my big bin of mirrors.

I could use a 26/27 open car windshield and some 16" - 18" seats or an old T sedan single seat. Will trade.

  9. I will be there with a little Model T stuff, 40 Ford L.R. fender, some 55-64 Chevrolet rear parts, a few vintage stockcar parts.
    Plus vintage magazines.

I picked up a couple 265's & associated parts over the weekend. I'm only keeping one of them and planning to bring the other to Fitchburg, so if anyone's interested, let me know (PM me) or come find me in #140. I'd like to find it a new home sooner than later.

I picked up a couple pair of seats I'm going to bring too.

  11. After the last couple years of not pre paying and almost getting shut out last year I now have space 237. I'll have some early flat head carb NORS gasket sets and distributor and coil NORS sets, hose clamps and 57 olds rear end, 61 Buick rear end, 727 big block trans, 61 Buick trans, 28 Buick front shocks, SW 6 volt elec fuel pumps .Heavy stuff goes only if I can get them into my truck.
Now all we need is for the weather to break!!

  12. O.K. so you just picked-up a 265 from @patmanta now what do you do?

You come on up to see me @Robert J. Palmer at spot 11!

Your going to need a Mallory Flatcap-
    [IMG]

You want to run a F-1 transmission, but how?

With this TransDapt FC4 transmission adapter. Just bolt a powerglide adapter (GM part number 3751080) to the block than this to the P.G. adapter.

How about a rear? Well your in luck I have 55/56 Chevrolet rear! I have backing pleats

Now your going to need a frame!

Just let'em you saw it on the H.A.M.B.

Make sure you guys bring rusty shit that has nothing to do with my current project that requires a minimum of 2 hours of welding. That's the stuff I always buy and I'm gonna be there early.

I'm bringing one of those Powerglide adapters actually. I'm keeping the Iron Powerglide though, unless I dig up another one between now and then or someone really HAS TO HAVE IT and tells me so.

And, @adam401 I've got a bunch of rusty stuff I can bring for you. I've got a couple seat risers and pieces of a 29/29 cowl that sound right up your alley! ;) Because I totally do the same thing.

Who's bringing my HOOD??? (top only!!)
You sure you don't have one ,Robert?? You've got just about everything else a guy could want!

    Attached Files:

  19. Neato. Would be great if they were 16s though. Looking for a pair of Cheapo front wheels to use. Keep your eyes open.

    See everyone there.

Btw, I think I got my door problem solved, so no need for coupe doors anymore; at least from me!

I got a 46 cowl, rusty FREE model a bumpers, a cheap but rusty seat riser, and a model A trans. Not buying a space though, so tell me via pm and I'll deliver it to ya at the runway!

Just got back from Stafford Springs swap meet, I didn't find much there. If I was looking for household goods, Harley exhaust, or dirt bike parts, I would have been in heaven. There is nothing like Fitchburg- I cannot wait. Looking for 28-29 roadster windshield, windshield stanchions, panel above trunklid

  28. I'am all sorted out-

Three 55-64 Chev open 3rd members, Two 3:36, One 3:55

A pair of patina'd Detiz headlights. Patina mean I can charge more right?:D
