Clutch is in the TWIN and everything is together............READY to give the Historic Eagle Field Runway it's best! Come on out and see IMHO the best TRUstalgia Drag Racing anywhere at the Eagle Field Fresno Dragways Reunion this Saturday. Then on Sunday we get a little contemporary, adding a Christmas Tree. See eaglefielddrags.com for more info.

Guys, I can only say that Toymaker sure knows how to run lots of cars down a drag strip - - No wait a minute, what he said is that they run a bunch of cars down a RUNWAY - Yah that's the ticket. Oh, I guess the twin broke the trans on the first run . . . So did want to see it run the full runway !

  17. WHAT A BLAST!!!! BY FAR ... the BEST turnout EVER!!! Gasser John, your boy's Model A was one of my top 5 cars of the DAY. I had more fun announcing this race than ANY in the last 3 years! we had some of the MOST AWESOME stuff on the track today. straight axle fairlane, 39 willys gasser, 41 willys gasser, morris minor gasser, Stormy Byrd Vs. Randy Winkle best of 3 match race, hudson in a pontiac, nailhead in a deuce coupe, HARD running 27 roadster, Blown Thames Panel, Anglias, Bantams, that blown model a coupe blew my mind! the list goes on and on...

Thanks Rocky for continuing to give me an opportunity to come on out and flap my lips for a few hours. Eagle Field is the HIGHLIGHT of my year (both events!)

my son jeff has worked so hard on the A i built in 65-67....

he talked me out of making changes that would have been easily seen....

it has cost 10 x $$$'s then it cost in 65!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

his workmanship has made me proud......

when he was in his early teens i told him i would take it completly apart & give it to him......he took it completely apart himself more then once

engine had only couple hours on fresh rebuild so he took it easy at eaglefield...............

so we, my daughter;11yo, my dad; 58yo and our friend adrian, went to the drags today and it was awesome!

my daughter said; "dad, i like all the noise and smoke!"

    that made my day!

great weather, great cars and a great time had by all. i've got tons of pictures to go through now but it was absolutly worth it..

and Adrian's 1919 Model T, the "Rat-Chero" made the drive from Reedley Ca to Eagle Field and back with nothing major happening.

The pick up was running hard all day Sat. Owner said it was a test vehicle for Hurst tires. Also, a rare 32 gasser:eek:

and poor Kenny, his nova caught fire after a Nitrous explosion,,
fire crew were quick to respond,, saved a lot of the car limiting the damage,
I heard they collected almost a thousand dollars by passing the hat,,
