I guess if I had a Twitter account, I could have known about this yesterday morning. Now just look at me. A day behind. How embarrassing.

Can we all tweet each other so we know exactly what we are all doing at any one second? That sounds like it would be kind of cool, huh?

I thought tweeting was just how celebrities marketed themselves for free and when their next sex tape was leaked these days. Ryan, please don't 'leak' the sex tape. That is all I ask.

    c'mon fellas...

this is one of those things about the HAMB you can take or leave. no one will ever come to your house and force you to join a social group here, nor will ryan make you join twitter...

Be assured, big brother is most definitely watching. And we just keep making it easier for him.

That is almost as imbecilic as a few of the replies to the last question I posted.

Guess you gotta keep-up or fall behind.
So I'm way behind! It's ok though, I like it here in the '5o's (although, I do have an old desk-top;)).

who you callin' grandpa? i'm only 42...

i am technically part of the digital age. i can see the advantages. but i also see the dangers. one can get sucked in to spending way too much time on this infernal machine. and life goes by outside the window.

    just gotta find that balance.

and boy, have we taken a simple announcement and turned it into the OT thread of the century...

Ryan, I'm using the iPhone App right now. I love it. There's a few "Hi-Tech Rednecks" out here. ;)

I like Twitter. I get current updates from baseball and other sports, and sometimes funny posts from friends I know. Now I can get the lastest "updates" from the HAMB as well. It sounds good to me.

In regards to Facebook, I like it as well. It helps me keep in contact with out of town and out of country friends and relatives, and lot of my in town friends post funny stuff, info, and pictures. There are a lot of "traditional" car clubs on Facebook, and they post pics and let everyone know about upcoming car events.

    Nothing wrong with information.

Many years ago when all my kids had computers (and I didn't) I said the same thing. Now I'm on the damn thing hours each and couldn't live without it. I'm on twitter for REAL TIME info on all forms of racing (ALMS, SCCA, Indy Car, WOW, NASCAR etc) . It's great. You get to talk to fans, the media and event organizers in real time as the race happens. One of my sons was an engineer for an SCCA national championship team and an ALMS LMP1 team this past summer. I could follow everything going on at the track without being there and it was great. Try it and you will love it.
