Guys and gals, My buddies and I are looking for which companies out there are supplying roller duece chassis..... Sure, some are obvious like So-Cal but I'm looking for a big list of all of you out there that are selling rollers for duece highboys Sound off - there could be alot more to this than just one car.... Thanks
Total Cost Involced has nice ones and a lot of choices Pete & Jakes makes a nice one and is an Alliance Vendor -Will
Pete & jakes , Cornhusker , So-Cal in my opinion i would stay away from TCI on a `32 highboy...the frame reveals are not right and is VERY noticable on a fenderless car
We build custom 32 frames. Right now doing a 32 with K member, flathead 4spd,torque tube, quick change. Also a 32 X member hemi,4 speed, quick change. dropped I beams,Lincoln drum brakes etc. Each one is custom built. Can do a basic spec SBC auto style too.. PM me glad to talk about it. eric TCI 32 frames are gross. Sharp edged -fabbed,yuck.
Thanks guys... I will watch for more info also. Looks like universal advice is to avoid TCI, unless you want to do a lot of finish work that should not have to be done. Look for PMs Thanks again...
Any recommendations on east-coast suppliers? I'll be in in the market soon and would hate to offset any low-price savings with increased shipping costs. Thanks!
Henry Ford made a nice one but i think they stopped production a few years ago Eric, how are you doing the 4 speed with the torque tube?
How about SAC? Their workmanship looks nice and their tubular crossmember looks good. Anybody with experience on the SAC frame?
Check out Squeak Bell's frames at: http://www.kiwikonnection.com/ I've been in the shop several times, and can honestly say their frames are very nice! And top quality! They build 'em for highboys, channeled cars, and even pinched at the cowl for model 'A' bodies. "Greasejunkie" has a Kiwi Konnection, custom built '32 frame under his Plymouth coupe, he loves it. At their price, you could buy one, have it shipped to Michigan, and still save money!
.. .. Frame manufacturers ...http://www.seattlestreetrods.com/links_by_part.htm and look under Frames........... ...Good Luck...H
Eric, how are you doing the 4 speed with the torque tube?[/QUOTE] It's going to make for a killer flathead set up. Can you imagine down shifting into first, headed for a stop light, grrr. Then goosing it and blast around the corner and grab second. I'll show some better pic's later. JS,just signed up here.32mounger?
Some builders will bring the chassis to a car event for you. Saves you shipping and they don't have to take their display back home with them. Even if you get a roller take the rear and front axle out and it will all fit into a full size pick up truck. Don't buy junk just 'cause the guy will bring it to you though. Try Cornhusker's,Lobeck's, Flatlander's,Socal east.
Last Refuge Hotrod. Here is my 32 frame, available pinched for Model A too $1299 normally. 10% Hamb disc. Correct Reveal and edges. For sale on *bay Check out my website for other frames and bodies. http://Lastrefugehotrod.com
We can do them, we are doing one right now, and we are in MICHIGAN. We do small volumes of frames and chassis builds, customer specific, and made to order. Let me know if interested
Kiwi Konnections in Bakersfield, Ca. I have purchased 2 of them, 1 of which is going under a 32 roadster for salt flat racing. Can't say enough good things about their work. 33 coupe
My buddy Wes and I are putting together some really nice 32 chassis's........ We even have a jig to make up stainless steel hair pins. We just finished a 32 chassis including the ss exhaust, for a Dearborne Duece. PM me if you want details!
Got my new one from So-Cal. Here is my kid working on it on "Hotrod Night". When I sold the last one I had. That was the first question I was asked ....Who built the frame? No prob on that now.
