Technical dropping steering arms 1936 Ford

    I know he was a little out of the game, but maybe @edwardlloyd could give you a hand. He's more than capable if he still has the tools.

    Edward was the guy who did the brake conversion :) But now he is out of business.

    Maybe he could take a little vacation back to Germany and use your torch set to do the spindle arm dropping? I'm sure you would have fun assisting him.

    Conrad, I am running ‘37-39 spindles (#78 cast numbers) and ‘37-39 drums (date code H107) on my ‘36. Sent Joe the axle and spindles for a 4” drop years and years ago. Car runs straight as an arrow at any speed, well, at least up to 80 that I know of.

    I had the same setup on a '36 3-window I used to have. It's a classic "Hot Rod" procedure.

    Hey, it was some days ago that I wrote an answer...
    I ordered a 3 1/2" dropped axle and also the fitting dropped spindles (all 36) from Sid Drapal. It took some month for shipping over the seas, but now it is in my car and works.
