Here's some redneck engineering for you. Drop is only about 1-1/4", nothing radical. Do I need to put in a cross piece between the bars for reinforcement or can I get away with these as-is? Rear suspension is otherwise stock, engine is a warmed up flathead in the 260's, won't be doing any slalom courses. Thanks.

  2. No, it should be fine. Old timers back in the day would put up to 6" shackles to lower early fords. I bought som 2" shackles from Vern Tardel and they look just like yours.
